The central vision of SofHub is to create a conduit for technology transfer of mature scientific and engineering research modules in the form of software and codes to industrial, government partners. Such technology transfer is expected to yield significant visibility to research programs at JHU, as well as confidence in model and software related products developed at JHU, which in in turn will generate significant revenue for self-sustenance and growth through larger externally funded research programs.
Motivation
JHU-SofHub envisages to serve as a promising mode of technology transfer for transferring validated and well-maintained research codes to potential collaborators, and partners.
Operating Principles
The SofHub team provides appropriate guidelines to the research code developers in computational science and engineering laboratories and work with them to meet the desired objectives in order to create a framework for synergistic deliverables.
