Professor Jamie Guest along with Professor Kevin Hemker and Professor Tim Weihs had their research showcased at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Demo Day on May 11th, 2016. Research performed by the Hopkins team was displayed through the Materials with Controlled Microstructural Architecture(MCMA) program and highlighted the works from Stephen Ryan (MatSci PhD’15) and Longyu Zhao (MatSci PhD’16) on 3D woven metallic lattices.

DARPA Demo Day, held in the courtyard at the center of the Pentagon, aims to provide the Department of Defense (DoD) community with a close up look at the Agency’s diverse portfolio of innovative technologies and military systems at different stages of development and readiness.
