Congratulations goes to Prof. James Guest, as one of the awardees of the American Society of Civil Engineers’ prestigious 2017 Walter L. Huber Civil Engineering Research Prizes. He was recognized “for research at the forefront of topology optimization, focusing on the rigorous integration of mechanics, optimization, manufacturing and uncertainty quantification.” (Click here for his group’s website).
This is a very competitive prize, as few young researchers across all of ASCE are selected for this award. Prof. Guest will formally accept his Walter L. Huber prize at ASCE’s Annual Convention in New Orleans in October.
